Cost Categories

Cost categories separate cost codes into defined category types.  Examples include Labor, Material, Subcontractors, etc. Unlimited cost categories can be created in TriBuild Construction Management, but each one must be associated to one of the Standard categories:

  • Labor

  • Material

  • Equipment

  • Subcontractor

  • Expenses

  • Other Expenses

Cost Calculation Type

Cost cost budget item can accept either Dollar Amount, Hours or Both when setting up a budget for a projects.  Dollar Amounts would be used for such cost types as Material, Subcontracts or Equipment where payment would most likely be made to vendors or subcontractors.  Hours would be used for such items as Labor where costs are determined by the amount of hours worked.  Easily determine if the cost category will accept either or both of these types,

  • Hours

  • Dollars
